BORMES LES MIMOSAS - Colombian rider Yonny Hernandez will replace Jonas Folger in the Sepang MotoGP preseason test at Sepang Circuit Malaysia on 28-30 January 2018. Hernandez will race alongside Team Tech 3 Yamaha to accompany Johann Zarco on test the first pre-season season.
Previously, Folger has declined from the entire 2018 MotoGP race because it still has to continue its recovery from Gilbert's Syndrome. A rare disease that eventually made Folger unable to compete in the last four races last year.
Motorsport also reported that Yamaha Tech 3 has appointed Hernandez to occupy a temporary role in preseason tests Malaysia MotoGP. This is certainly not the first time for Hernandez to ride a MotoGP bike.
