Yesterday I posted an article on Yours.org. After nearly 24 hours, my total collected is $0. It's not like I had some fierce competition, barely anyone was posting at the time.
Admittedly my post was garbage, but @beanz did a better post and her results are identical.
Perhaps it's a good thing to show everyone on yours.org the power of steempower. Using Playstation's mottos:

I am a steem believer, don't get me wrong, been here from day one but you still need to consider the history where 2nd runners beat the first guy that got to the table. Let's not rule out any competitor just yet ;)

I think it's way too difficult now to compete with steemit now... Steemit is clearly a winner over blockchain with social media solution... I think over time more and more people start switching from Facebook & Twitter and coming to Steemit...

It only launched recently. It took ages to develop due to the complexity of implementing micropayments on Bitcoin. And now it doesn't even use Bitcoin, only Litecoin.

Ok, but with Yours.org you can get paid at any time. You can't earn from old Steem posts. Just something to bear in mind. Steemit needs to work on this.

People can tip you for old posts, very similar to what's on Yours. It's not built into the UI on Steemit.com but it is on Busy.org for example.

No, it uses Litecoin for payments. Otherwise it's just a website with a SQL database or similar backend.
