**EMPOWER 2.0: Youth Agri-Camp & Leadership Summit 2016**** is a four (4) day-long event that serves as a forum and avenue for young leaders to discuss solutions for current social issues and sustainable agriculture that will help address the needs of a growing population.
EMPOWER 2.0 aims to encourage young people to be responsible leaders and think more deeply about sustainable agriculture, food supply and the role of science in this context. This is also a celebration of the leadership potential and abilities of the youth. Its main objective is to engage and inspire the youth to take their stand and make their move. It will create a space for young people to share their ideas about the future.
This event will be participated by 350 international youth delegates, community based youth leaders, young farmers, young agriculture enthusiasts, young professionals, IPs, out-of-school youths, members of Task Force on Youth Development, student/campus leaders and other sectoral youth representatives (15-30 years old) who have shown an interest in leadership and agriculture. We believe there is a need for young leaders to be engaged in finding sustainable agricultural solutions to the growing global need for safe, nutritious food.
