Youth empowerment

The Federal Government introduced this program to reduce youth unemployment in Nigeria. This program is engaged in the massive deployment of 500000 trained graduates.

They are engaged in the development skills among the youths. Each of those who are participating will learn and master skills that will enable him to create work.This youth empowerment programme was established in 2011. The aim of this is to inspire youths of the Nigerian society in such a way as to reduce the rates of HIV and stigma in the lives of youths and young ones.

There is expansion of this program and they are creating more opportunities for youths and target and they target the challenges they are facing.
The function of this organization is to help youths develop in a way that will make them functional in the society. Their programs involve seminars, workshops, vocational programs etc.

AYEN renders financial and educational aid to youngsters and they ensure that children are in their classrooms. They utilize cooperative bodies, local donors.This particular organization offers extensive leadership training and programs. The essence of this program is to help youths enhance their personal attributes.

YEN has offered aid to many youths in many areas and have made them selfdeveloped.This particular program has helped to shape the youth mindset especially those of the Niger Delta region and a good number of these youths have been put into meaningful jobs and this has enabled them to reduce rate of poverty and unemployment.

This youth empowerment promotes the acquisition of skills, entrepreneurship and employment.Youth Empowerment is a program organized by an individual or an organization with the aim of equipping youths with their needs. These needs are given so as to encourage youths in the society that they do not have to depend on the government, but can also use their potentials to turn their life around.As unemployment keeps rising to the peak, youths have to be developed both psychologically and financially. As Nigeria is a home full of opportunities, youths have to be equipped so as to seize and utilize such opportunities. About 2 million graduates are produced into the labor market every year, as National Bureau of Statistics reports. This has led to dramatic increase in the unemployment rate of the country; the unemployment rate in Nigeria is about 22 percent with that of youth increasing up to about 38 percent, as presented by World Bank. The increment is due partly to poor economy and dependence on government.Looking at the adverse effects of unemployment such as addiction, rape, poverty alleviation etc. an individual with patriotic mind usually take up the responsibility of empowering youths for a better tomorrow. The empowerment program is usually organized by an individual, organization etc. with the sole aim of providing the necessary requirement for development of potentials in the youths and they go across all aspect of life e.g. education, agriculture, finance and even morally- oriented.

Usually, these programs are organized in a non-profit orientation.It pushes youth from illiterate to literate.
