Vid.me announced that they will be shutting down last week. Vid.me is a video sharing platform like YouTube. Most YouTubers used Vid.me if they were sick of been censored and demonetized by YouTube. I liked Vid.me, they had a tipping system, like YouTube has crowd funding, but YouTube requires 1,000 subs and Vid.me just required a verified account. before the summer, I had a good active following on Vid.me, I have never had that on Youtube. When I made a video about the YouTube ad-boycott, it got 1K views on Vid.me but only like 20 views on YouTube, small creators got the exposure they never gotten on YouTube. If you are like me and like being on a back up site, I suggest Daily Motion. I hope someone creates a site like Vid.me and it can stay
I had a back up plan and my back up plan failed. RIP Vid.me
