Hey all!
My brother wants to have a Youtube channel but he doesn't have any equipment for recording good videos and he doesn't know how to edit, produce and make killer viral videos by his own. Just for the record, he also doesn't know how to speak English, yet he doesn't even have a microphone to record his own voice. While I was thinking, I had this idea to help him to have a good Youtube channel in order to have a passive income in a year to support his school expenses. I know there are a lot of BHW member who are not able to make good videos in English so I think this might help you or at least give you a good idea about how to produce viral videos in English (or any other major languages such as French, German, Spanish)
I assume you know how to create a Youtube channel, so I will skip this part and explain my method here. First if all, we need these softwares:
- Balabolka: This is a free tool to use Text-to-Speech engines such as INOVA TTS engines. You can copy paste any text and convert it to MP3. I will give more details.
- INOVA Text-to-Speech Voice Engines: This is the best TTS engine, it is the closest engine to natural human speaking, which is of course not flawless but the best you can have. INOVA has many languages and accents but it is not free, yet you can find on WWW anything you want, it is all about searching it in right places I've already tried all of them so I can tell INOVA Brian voice is the best so far. Yet you can choose a female speaking, some may find it better than the others. It's up to you. First you need to install language packages and then you can use it on Balabolka reader.
- Audacity: This tool is also a great free tool to edit sounds, merge speech and background music like a professional. I do love this software because it is really easy to use. I will give more details later.
- ProShow Producer: We will use this tool to create HD slideshow videos with professional effect and transitions. You can use whatever you want, even standard video editing softwares may fit your needs but I will go with ProShow because it is SUPER easy to use and it has professional motion effects for your slideshows. It is not also free, but easy to find.
Okay, we got the required tools, what to do now?
As you know, Youtube is very strict with copyright issues. I have tried many things so I can say that no matter how hard you try with copyrighted materials, you will eventually fail. Even though you can make good money in a short time, you must know that your channel will be banned soon or later. So I decided to go for a slow but steady channel. In order to do that, I decided to find good articles in different languages and translate them to English. This is a good idea because now Google Translate is really good at translating most of the European languages to English. These articles are much better than the spun articles, in my opinion. So, what you need to do is, determine a niche, find good non-English articles related to your niche, and translate them to English by using Google Translate. I can not tell what you do so you need to dig up the non-English websites and find interesting articles can be good on videos.
Once you found and translated your article, use Balabolka to make it MP3. I will not explain this, you can find many tutorials. It is super easy by the way.
HINT: Try to delete commas as much as you can. The engine stops at commas more than a human speaker would do. Listen to preview and edit your article sounds more like a human speaking. You can also change the speed and pitch. However you like.
Now, we will add a background music for our video. You can find many public domain music by searching on google actually. I use freesound.org, it has many no-copyright music and sound effects. Try to pick a catchy, repetitive and rhythmic music without annoying sounds. Now open your Audacity and drag your speech record + background music. Now you have 2 channel:
When you are done with editing your sound, export it as MP3 and we will start to create or slideshow video. Now we need to find related images for our topic. You can use google image search again but try to use public domain images in order to not have further copyright issues. You better check freepik and other free stock image websites first. After finding suitable images for your video, Open Proshow Producer and drag all your images and MP3 to the bottom sidebar:
After this step, you need to sync your video length to mp3 length and add some motion to images and transitions. If you don't want to spend a lot of time on this process, you can do what I do. By applying the process showed below, you can add random movement and transitions to images in a couple of seconds. Believe me, it doesn't look that bad.
After doing this, you can save the video by clicking the Publish button on top menu. That's it! Now you have an interesting and original video without writing, creating image, recording video or voice. I will show you what I've done in 35 minutes so far (It took 35 minutes but now I can do it in 15 minutes by repeating the previous steps.)
Of course, it is not as good as human speaking and real video records. Yet, I've seen much worse videos ranked and went viral on Youtube.
beautifull post
