My Fear of Doing Youtube

So today I woke to 2 posts of people encouraging us, rather me, to give Youtube a shot.

One post was by @adetorent on a video he did a couple of hours ago, if you haven't watched it you can do so here.

And the other one was a twitter post by @phoneinf. He certainly is making a good passive income with his channel. See below.

In as much as all this sound great and endearing, for some reason I can never get myself to be as active on Youtube as I am on here.

I don't know why. Everytime I get psyched up to get started on Youtube it only lasts a week or 2. I think I am scared to put myself out there as much as I do on here. I love Steem cause there's not a lot of people and people on here aren't as mean and brutal as Youtube can be.

I still cannot put my fingers on to why I am scared to go HAM on Youtube, but there's definitely something holding me back. Perhaps I am not as bold as I thought?

Until I can figure it out, I don't think I'll be doing Youtube anytime soon. Maybe I can recap on this topic in 2020!

Ade's vLOG

Anybody else who wants to take a reap of faith and jump into the Youtube train for 2020? I hear it's not as good as it used to be back in the day, but it does seem like a great source of passive income for vloggers. Which is something we don't get to do with our vlogs on Steem. I guess you just can't win in this game.

    Do it El. As a content creator we should always use multiple platforms to showcase our content. It takes time and lots of hardwork to achieve a following but once you hit 1000 subscribers, you will start to understand how it works.

        I am on 740 Subscribers. But I am inconsistent. One of my friends, his recent videos blew up and in one day he got like 15k subscribers. xD See his channel.

        So it's about that one video which could change everything. And if you are consistent, then that video would come sooner. xD

              You're leaving a lot of money on the table. You could have got your channel to over 1k subs by collabing with Nappie (I don't know if he's still in Nairobi). They've all been collabing and gaining subs lately. Trudy is nearly at 100k. Tigress is at 15k. Join the movement.

                    140 million views from pouring coke on phones.. I guess u just need one big hit to get those subs and it's not as if the bar is set too high.. If I had a time machine I'd definitely go back and pour soda on electronics so that I could live off my vlogs of me opening phones smdh.. Ima go sip some more haterade.. 💀

                      Everyone has sight but not everyone has vision. Pretty sure you'd still have missed the opportunity if it was staring you in the eyes right now lol... This guy could see into the future, he saw an opportunity and jumped on it.. Same case for all those missed opportunities on Bitcoin by those who had the chance and maybe sometime in future,STEEM.
                      The gadgets experiment was a very thought out and unique concept, gotta hand it to him.

                          It sounds like you are using your intuition about not using Youtube. Good idea to stay on Steam, there are lovely supportive friends here.
