It's exciting to see so many YouTube creators starting to host a presence here on Steemit... but at the end of the day, the links to content still require dependence on YouTube (and Medium, Reddit, etc) to host the videos, blogs etc.
Is there a mechanism here on Steemit (or on another blockchain like SNGLS) that can serve as a reliable, decentralized video/blog hosting platform in addition to/instead of YouTube? For now, the major issue with YouTube is the limiting of ad revenues for "controversial" creators... but given that we're already seeing evidence of YouTube removing subscribers, likes, etc its only a matter of time before that platform starts blocking "objectionable content" altogether.
