Beanie Babies:

These were a super hot collectible in the 90's as most of you might know. For those that don't know, they were basically a collectible stuffed animal.  You can tell you have a Beanie Baby by the iconic Red "TY" Tag. You can still find these by the bag loads at Garage Sales but most are going to be worthless. Hopefull this quick guide will help you figure out quickly what is what.

The Basics:

These first started showing up in 1993 and had the first Generation Tags (See Info-graphic Below). Collectors still seek these out more than any other ones out there. The things you want to keep in mind is condition of the plush and the paper tag. Earlier beanies without the tag sill could go for a good price on the secondary market. If your beanies do not have the tags, you can find out the name and year by looking at the "Tush Tag" which is by their bottoms.

Last words:

If you can pick up any of the early versions for $1-$5 they might be worth the investment. But most are going to be newer ones that were massed produced. If you enjoyed this article or remember Beanies Babies, leave a comment below.
