Hey Steemians,
Hope you're doing good this Sunday.
Thought I'd share a super quick and easy hack to rip videos from YouTube, or just rip the MP3 audio from YT vids. It's super quick and super easy, free, and requires no software.
Step 1.
Find video. URL will look something similar to this -
www .youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXxxxxxXXXXX
Step 2.
Remove the "ube"from the URL so it looks like this -
www .yout.com/watch?v=XXXXxxxxxXXXXX
Only remove the "ube". Leave the rest of the URL exactly the same.
Step 3.
Hit enter in URL bar.
Step 4.
You're taken to a page where you can select what you want to do, and even chose the start and end points of your recording.
Then ...
Hope that helps and some of you find it useful.
Do what you will with MP3 audio or MP4 videos. Of course it goes without saying that I don't encourage or support any shady activity using this. It's up to you what you do with the downloaded content.
Personally I love Podcasts on YT like "The Joe Rogan Experience", so I often rip the audio and transfer it to my phone so I can listen to them on my way to work. Then I delete it and add another. I also do the same for documentaries and discussions on YouTube to help numb the commute each day.
Thanks,
