To the girl who loved the ocean

She who held the greatest insecurities
Yet was the most beautiful pearl at the bottom of the sea
She who gave all of her love freely
She who cared for them wholeheartedly.

But like any other protagonist in a story
She was betrayed, played by destiny
Twists were made, plots were changed
And the purity of her heart was stained.

She was not like Moana, who was brave enough
To deliver Maui across the great ocean
To save Motunui and her descendants
And she was not like Ariel, who has the courage
To go out there and find her prince
So that her world would collide with his
Because she was no princess
She was just this girl who loved the ocean
She wanted someone to pull her out from the misery
And end her indescribable agony
So she hoped
and waited,
and hoped,
and waited,
for someone to bring back the way she used to be.

But no one didn't.
