Every second, water crunches rocks, flexible, rude and adaptable, nature goes along a river and constantly faces the unstoppable force of water and the change it brings; humanity deals with it too. Refusing to change and adapting ourselves over time to the new environment. This is culture shock, the differences between our behaviors that can become an issue that we usually overcome.
As individuals from different countries, cities and cultures; we will disagree over topics such as politics, believes, fashion, music and others things. Thus, the question is how to overcome this problem that sometimes we do not even realize? Moreover, coming to Steemit you will face sooner or later, with people of different cultures and languages, you share experiences and learn from them, after all most of us use English as our common language to blog in the site, we learn about leadership, currencies, social media, new values, different points of view, and how to appreciate the differences between us.
Yet we feel lost in our new surroundings, getting to know the platform as well as new people. In reality solving our differences is far from an easy task, the emotions you feel when you move to another place is part of the adjustment process. You might even notice your social role have changed, from a parent, wife, husband, teacher, employee, leader to be a Steemit user, a blogger. Some might misinterpret your behavior and actions you have to be aware of these changes and the reactions of people around you.
Why people are always using a certain new word such as "yunk", "whale", "peach” or even "minnow"? why do we need to share others content? Do I have to do the same? you might ask. The environment is fun, strange and even hard to adapt. Is this place only for business people or investors? If I am not a programmer can I still feel part of the community? How about if I do not speak English? Maybe you are not alone feeling this way, because this "ocean" is still in beta and many changes are going to come every now and then. But more than simply being surprised at unfamiliar social norms, weird new trends or foreign models of emoticons, culture shock will impact you long after you become familiar and comfortable with peoples' perspectives and the day to day customs of this new universe.
To summarize, we can overcome our natural fear of change, and adapt to this new place, "learn to take all the hard forks". We should not try to give up or isolate ourselves, but instead focus on how we are now better from the experiences we had and what we have learned here. We cannot be upset of differences on the site and its users because they see the things we don't. We have our own personalities, skills and reasons to be here, we should then respect theirs too. Let's see the good in the new, learn and listen to their points of view and build a better character; our challenge is swimming in the waterfall.

Fantastic post, you really made a great point and something that I can learn from. I hope everyone opens up to see things from a positive perspective first and try everything before diving into negativity, I realize that it is hard for people who interact with me on a daily basis to grasp my sense of humor so I can only imagine how hard it must be for someone who is not a new yorker who may not see my sarcasm.... great post.

:) @flashbid thanks for reading!, I am so immerse in Steemit and Yunk because I trust it 100%.
I would like to be a robot sometimes to read all the blogs in yunk give feedback as soon as they post, but this is far from possible to a human being, what I can offer is help the people around me and those who seek for help in YUNK it is sad, however the more yunker we have the better opportunities we have to spread the message, help and continue to grow, I am not against people getting money, yunk isnt like that.
There is more to see in this platform and I know we are heading there. Thank you for commenting

This is the first time I've stopped to actually think about other users who's native language isn't English and how that impacts their onboarding to the platform. I know how confused I am and I am a native English speaker!! I have completely taken that for granted. Thank you for pointing that out to me and opening my eyes to that fact (even though it probably should have occurred to me on my own right away). But holy cow...what is "peach"???

nice post.
recently i found some people who are complaining about using another language - local language of a country- while using the a special tag, I found it absurd, why force yourself to write in english - translated using google - instead writing in a way you know very well.
I did criticize them about it which results in getting flag on my comment. *sigh
