Kısaca;
Zone à Defendre (Savunma Bölgesi) olarak adlandırılan veya halk arasındaki adıyla ZAD işgal hareketi zafer ile sonuçlanarak, bölge halkı ile köylülere kamulaştırma nedeniyle yaşatılan hak kayıplarını büsbütün geri alma çağrısında bulundu.
2008 yılında kamusallaştırılan ve şuan devlete ait olan arazinin – toplamda 1.600 küsür hektar – içinden geçecek olan birkaç çevre yolu dışında tamamı, havaalanı projesi için ayrılmıştı. ZAD, bu verimli olan toprakların havaalanına dönüştürülmesinin aksine, yabani hayatın ve yerel halkların yararına kullanılacak biçimde bölgedeki halklarda kalmasının taahhüdünün verilmesinin gerekli olduğu savunuluyor.
