How Common is a “Normal” Neighborhood for a Kid Growing Up?

in zapfail •  7 years ago

My middle-class 22-homes development had a PTSD veteran, a public alcoholic, a suicide, 2 ex-cons, a Playboy bunny, a family who hid away and interacted with none of us, the father of a murderer, and a guy who buried a car in his backyard.

We tend to assume most people are normal or simple but everyone has a story... usually with more chaos than we imagined

The guy who buried a car in his backyard seems like an interesting chap...you were lucky to have had such diversity around you while growing up there. I had similar neighbors.
Regards @angryman

Don’t forget, the neighborhood you grew up in also contained at least one FUTURE DOLPHIN OF AMERICA!!! Congrats on reaching Dolphin status @preparedwombat!

I don’t think many “normal” neighborhoods exist anymore. At least where I am from, neighbors keep to themselves other than pleasantries.

This is insane. The kid would follow in their footsteps man. Upvoted!

Love the art. I like to draw too. I use Zappl too. A diverse neighborhood indeed.
