Where is a leader's competence?
I'm inspired to write and dedicate this article to all leaders and aspiring ones out there.
Leadership can either be learned or instinctive or both but is not pegged on the scale of academic competence which often resulted in delusions.
One might be blessed with the ability to blend all the English grammars and has a serious deficiency or lags in leadership arena.
Having a collective knowledge of all the fields of study without wisdom to use one effectively is nothing but emptiness - a barrel with no content.
How then should a leader be competent?
Leaders with this wisdom are a rare exception.
The skill to use other people to achieve an objective is very uncommon hence the prevalence of autocracy in disguise as democracy.
"The real competence of a leader is in people and his ability to bring it out in them."
I love this.
It's really motivating.
