Well, I get your point, but with the current state f steemit, I think bidbots are the best way to go especially for minnows, incase you do not know, most whales on this platform do not care about the ecosystem at all, as such no matter how much they like your post, they will not engage (either comment or upvote) Most people follow and comment on your posts because it is beneficial, you easily reward comments with an upvote, and your steem power alone makes you to be far ahead of most steemians. I use bots, because this platform favors bidbots, is hard work is rewarded based on quality and not steemit power of rep, steemit will grow even better, steemits algo needs to be adjusted, to favor hardware and value, and you will see bidbots die naturally, I personally do not like the idea of paying 20 sbd and end up getting 17 sbd worth in return, (both steem power and sbd reward). Bid bots helps me to remain motivated. look at the trending page for example, there is hardly a post that makes it there without upvote from bots.
