Bridal tear flowers (Bunga air mata pengantin)

The flower of the bride's tears (Antigonon) becomes one of the beautiful flowering plants (liana). Teardrop bridal plants have become one of the outdoors ornamental plants are stubborn, easy to plant and maintain. Although not native to Indonesia, bridal tears (Antigonon) are easily found in Indonesia.

This flowering plant is not native to Indonesia. Antigonon comes from Mexico and has been introduced to various parts of the Americas, Southeast Asia, and India. Entry into Indonesia brought by the Dutch government and made ornamental plants in the garden and yard. Now, the tears of the bride have been widely cultivated in Indonesia. The most common type in Indonesia is Antigonon leptopus.
