This is slightly off-topic, but I noticed intresting things in D.tubes trending tags. Back like month ago, gaming tag was 4th biggest tag in D.tube. Couple of weeks ago, it had managed to jump to second biggest tag. As I checked the gaming content that was put out, I was bit disappointed, as it seemed like people were just dropping a video and not inter-acting at all with others, alot like just trying out if they make that 50 $ payout. Now however, there seems to be less of that kinds of videos and the gaming tag has fell back into fourth place.
People need to get how new that D.tube actually is. I just realized some time ago that whole trending page is decided by like 3-5 persons. Some times when D.tube is asleep, there are 1-2 videos with payout of 5$ right there in the trending page. Makes me understand how much potential that steem-power that I make has to turn me into a well deserved billionare in the future.

That is very interesting to know @steemilicious.
Gaming is certainly a huge market worth billions. It would be great if the STEEM blockchain somehow accessed that.
As for DTube, yes it is very new. We are seeing tremendous growth there for something that is still in its first 6 months (I believe it went live in October but I could be mistaken on that).
Right now Youtube is causing a great deal of havoc. I am awaiting the day when someone like Alex Jones, one with a huge following who gets harassed by YouTube, converts to D.Tube. If someone with that name recognition did that, it would really help propel things forward.
We all just need to keep working each day....the more we add overall, the better the entire ecosystem is.

The problem with dtube that I see is the team seems to be extremely small and I think a competitor with a bigger team and more experience can easily outcompete dtube and make it so much better. Know that there are many solid teams working on new upcoming video platforms like view.ly that can get huge market share. Of course the video market is huge so many can compete in that space with the current global world population hitting over 10 billion around 2050.
But all these big guys Google, Facebook and Amazon can very quickly move into crypto and change YouTube to have it as a feature or Facebook may fix it into their platform. Since they have so much money they could get the best guys on board super quick. These are big fish companies and they see trends and if something becomes a serious threat then they could make moves fast.
Of course we want to think our little work matters and yes sure it creates a nice system but we shouldn't forget if a real big fish make moves then it can cause massive ripple effect in the whole Blockchain system. But as long as we are ready for anything then it will be all good!

Just go watch how much the main dtube account is worth in half a year between 5-10 million dollars! Really crazy money flowing around! And now when the money faster goes to the community instead of stockholders that means we will be able to see faster growth curves! Exponential growth on steroids I would say!
