You will lose a lot of money in electricity than you would get mining monero on laptop. That to on minergate pool. I used to mine monero from minergate, but then i stopped because it turned out that it is not profitable to mine this coin through minergate. I now use claymore miner.

    There are many tutorials on Youtube and Github But it is not going to be profitable for you if you mine with your laptop CPU. If you have a desktop pc with graphics card then it will be profitable to mine other currencies and get paid out in monero. You can use minerpoolhub for that purpose.
