Zdash project added two new contributors to the Project, both are well known in the Zcash community:

David Mercer: [@radix42] Dev, Contributor. Code Base, Windows GUI.

Ivan Vaklinov: [@vaklinov] Dev, Contributor. Linux GUI, Windows GUI.

you need the daemon compiled and running to use the Linux GUI wallet:

You can compile this wallet for windows as well.

Zdash is a fork I did from Zcash, along with a few other devs. Basically it cancels out the dev share out of mined blocks, and replaces that with a one time premine of about 120k coins. We are using those as bounties for contributions. This works out well for now until we run out of funds, which means we will turn to the community for donations. I know community donations are not the same like forced shares, but I see it as a better option than taxing miners. It also works much better in terms of fair distribution. If we get picked up by bigger exchanges everyone will benefit. Some community funded projects have done really well, and I hope we can accomplish the same.
