Ziber: Mobile phones on the Blockchain

in ziber •  7 years ago

What is Ziber?

  • Ziber is a decentralized system of masternodes around the world installed on servers, the servers typically come from users who have successfully installed the ziber software on their mobile devices. All network users earn using their devices as a proxy server for routing Ziber phone calls and so people who are not connected to Ziber, will pay for international long distance calls. Ziber has combined distributed ledger technology with IP telephony technologies to come up with a decentralized communications platform. So in essence, ziber allows members to monetize their mobile phones.

How it Works..

  • The ziber network is distributed all over the world ran on either servers (as masternodes) or the software is downloaded onto mobile devices, where the devices is used as a proxy server for routing. Ziber claims that it doesn't cost anything and it make no sense to have to pay mobile provider anything. In this respect, they further exclaim that they can drastically lower their prices becoming drastically cheaper to use then other IP telephony companies such as Skype, Viber and several others. Furthermore from every dollar earned we deduct a part of profits to owners of masternodes who installed them on their servers and people who have provided their mobile numbers as a proxy server,” said the Ziber team.
  • Here's a price comparison:

The Next Phases & ICO

  • Ziber already has a mobile client which both Android and iOS users can download and install on their mobile devices. The next phase in development will be the migration of their client to the Ethereum blockchain and usage of Ziber tokens, which are compatible with Ethereum tokens, to create a tokenized network for mobile users.

  • As of right now the ICO is scheduled to start on July 27th, you can follow the exact time of offering and terms here. The current price of 1 ziber token is 0.0000625 ETH or 0.01$ so I might pick up a few of these tokens. I also might add that ziber already has working prototype that works so it will be interesting to see where this tokens goes.

Does anyone have any information about the Ziber hack?

I cannot seem to find any response from Ziber team. The only conclusion I can draw from all this is that they stole all the ICO money.

Going to the etherscan.io and looking at the original ICO address: 0xf0a924661b0263e5ce12756d07f45b8668c53380 it seems like there is only 37 Eth.

Looking at the new wallet address: 0xab98922ca2be48214539c7d5dc63a343d14d7227 there is only 8.7Eth.
