The zombie apocalypse has arrived and you’re trapped in the middle of nowhere, hoping that the next horde of undead isn’t close on your heels. What do you do? Do you hide? Do you fight? Do you hunt for supplies? The zombie apocalypse can be an extremely stressful time; with no government or local law enforcement, there’s no one to protect you from the hordes of zombies that would like nothing more than to sink their teeth into your flesh and feast on your brains.

The zombies will be fast
In a zombie apocalypse, you will need to do everything you can to stay alive. Zombies are faster than humans and will most likely find you before you can find them. The zombies will be fast, but luckily they won’t be very smart. Stay in a group and try not to stray too far from your friends or family. If zombies approach, use whatever is available — a stick, rock, tire iron — to keep them at bay until someone else shows up with a gun or knife that can kill them.

They will be strong
The zombie apocalypse is coming. The end of the world as we know it is happening. As a society, we are unprepared for this event. There are many questions that come up when you think about how society will look after a zombie apocalypse. Will there still be jobs? How will we communicate? What will our homes look like?

They will be relentless
The zombie apocalypse will be relentless. It will not stop. They will come at you from all angles, attacking your weaknesses and exploiting your vulnerabilities. You’ll have no time to rest or recuperate. There will be no relief from the undead hordes until they’ve eaten every last one of us alive.
Now is not the time for fear, now is the time for action. Now is not the time for hope, now is the time for preparation.

They will be everywhere
The zombie apocalypse is coming. The world is going to collapse. You might not have time to learn how to build a bomb shelter, but you do have time to learn what other people know about how best to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.

You will be scared
You’ll be scared. You won’t know what’s going on and you won’t know what to do. You’ll worry about people you love, about your own life, about the lives of others. But that’s okay because it means you care. It means that you’re a good person who cares about other people and this world.

You will be tired
It’s been hours since you last slept, and you’re feeling more than a little anxious. Your stomach grumbles and your mouth feels dry. You want to lie down, but you know it’s not safe with zombies lurking around every corner. They can smell your blood from miles away. It’s just a matter of time before they find you and drag you off into the night. Maybe it would be best if they did find you; then at least it would all be over soon enough.

You will be hungry
The first thing you need to know is that you will be hungry. The second thing you need to know is that you will be hungry. And the third thing you need to know is that if you’re not careful, your hunger could lead you into a dangerous situation. If possible, store up on food before it’s time for your next meal so it’s there when (not if) supplies run low.

You will be thirsty
The zombie apocalypse is coming, and it’s going to be a tough one. To survive, you’ll need water — lots of water. We’re not talking about filling up your bathtub with H2O and storing it in the bathroom for when you need it most. You’ll have to think bigger.

You will be dirty
You’re going to be dirty. You’re going to be filthy. You’re going to smell bad. And you won’t care. The world will be collapsing and you’ll need every ounce of strength, grit and determination that you can muster just in order to survive one more day. Maybe, if you’re lucky, one more week.

You will be fighting for your life
If you’re reading this, then I’m guessing that you’re prepared for what is coming. With the zombie apocalypse on its way, it’s time to start thinking about how you’ll defend yourself against not just the zombies, but also other survivors.
