Roller Attends The Nottingham Post Business Awards 2018

in 2018 •  6 years ago

Every year Nottingham Post hosts one of the biggest award nights of the year, The Nottingham Post Business Awards, with the aim of celebrating the achievements and success stories of local businesses. This year we had the great pleasure of being shortlisted as a finalist for the Excellence in Industry Award 2018.

As we were lucky enough to attend the awards ceremony in person this year, we were able to get a first hand introduction to just a handful of the innovative businesses and individuals that work in our local community. From UNIDAYS, who triumphed on the night winning Employer of the Year, to e-Days, our table companions, who ended up taking home both the SME Business of the Year Award, and the Sales and Marketing Award, we were surrounded by incredible talent.

From our Roller team, we sent our Commercial Director, Natalie Moores, Head of Production, Ryan Wright, our Non- Exec Director Mark Platt, Commercial Executive Chloe Maher and Commercial Manager, Beth Pigott to get the full experience of the Business Awards night.

‘It was fantastic to be involved in the whole process and especially the evening itself. Myself and the team have worked incredibly hard over the last twelve months to grow and scale the business and it felt like the start of the work being showcased. We had the pleasure of sharing a table with the double winners E-Days, and so whilst we missed out on taking home gold it was great to share their success with them’ - Natalie Moores.

‘As a recent addition of the Roller team, attending the NBPA was a great way for me to recognise and celebrate the success of the last 12 months for Martin and the team. The night itself was brilliant, Champions put on a great event, and although we missed out on the final prize we were incredibly honoured to be shortlisted. I am excited for what the next 12 months will bring for the team and hopefully we will be raising the Winner plaque at the next Nottingham Post awards ceremony!’ - Beth Pigott.

We are incredibly proud of our shortlisted status, and it highlights the hard work and dedication of our internal workforce. With the continual growth and the addition of many new team members, alongside bigger projects and a new determination to build and innovate, we’re so proud of everything we’ve accomplished this year.

From our monumental winter Trends and Insights project, to the successful delivery of our project with ALERT and Helpage International, to the expansion of our Marketing, Commercial and Production teams, it’s been an exciting period for Roller.

We also have even more exciting opportunities ahead for our teams, as we head to London Tech Week 2018, begin the groundwork for our summer Tech Trends project, and take part in our own internally run Hackathon! With new recruitment drives on the way, and some big changes within our teams, everything is set to get bigger and better for Roller over the next few months, and we’re ready to make our mark on the technology scene of Nottingham.
