Why Write It Down???
Its always a good idea to set your goals and write them down. It helps you to measure your progress throughout time. By putting your 2018 resolution in words, it will help to remind you of your ambitions when you're weak and push you harder when you are strong.
Its called self-motivation (and I highly recommend it) ;)
Helpful Bonus: Its also nice to know that you're "on the record"... It keeps you honest with yourself and with others.

Hey! I hope you had a good New Years !
I haven't really thought about my goals for 2018 in too much depth - but I know I want to upskill myself at work - I am currently working for a tech company as a junior data analyst. So it's important to me that I make the natural progression upwards.
As an extension, I want be able to have the skills/experience so if I wanted to uproot myself and move anywhere in the world, I could still get a good job.
It may not be ideal to focus my life around work, but security plays a major factor in my life and I want to ensure that I can always stand on my own two feet if I ever needed to.
Sorry for the ramblings!! Haha
I'm looking forward to smashing my goals along side everyone !

My goals are several:
in life it is to always be able to know I did my best and made a difference to someone (or hopefully many)
in my job it is to protect my clients and help them prosper when the conditions are right. Also, since my brother is my partner I hope we can double our assets under management as a goal to help him and his family too
And here on steemit, it is to do my best and help this community grow to the place I think it can be. I'm not focused on the money for me, but instead I hope that I can get enough power to get people's attention and truly help to change people for the better.
for steemit my goal is that we make this place even more awesome so that together we can change the way information is stored and shared. I like the way the value of the community is based on the value of the users, and then the users also get to benefit in the value they created. Its ours and we can make it awesome(er).
for my new friends, I want them all to make it to levels that they can earn and make a difference in both their lives as well as helping others that are less fortunate. I want to be a small part of the growth of as many "whales in the making" as possible. It would make me very happy to say, "I did my small part into helping @zombabejoy become the whale she has become". I don't have artistic talent, so my contribution is based on my understanding where I can play my role. Being a good coach and teammate is right up my alley ;)

No, you don't get anything from resteeming... The only reason you do it is you want to help out a friend and you like the message.... But the only person that gets paid on the posts are the person that does the posts (that applies for now, until you get your voting power strong and then you can get paid on that too but its a longer conversation and not important right now)...
So to be clear, you only resteem when you like the message and want to show your supporters it.

@resteemable will resteem any post for new people (like you) to help them get more people to see your post. All you need to do is to go up to the URL and replace the https:// with the letters re and then send it.
If you do it right you will get a screen that comes up asking if you would like to make a donation, but since you are new they don't expect you to donate anything because you are the one they are trying to help.
When you get bigger though, you will want to help them out by upvoting them, donating, or just tell others about their service. I did it for you so that you know how it works. (And i knew you'd ask me because you are nice and curious) ;)
So try it out on another post and see if you can do it and if you have any problems, just let me know.

and don't forget to make an introduction of yourself and post it at #introduceyourself with a tag. Make sure you have a picture or many pictures explaining to us who @doinita is. People like it when you are a real person and I think you have a good personality so show the steemosphere who you are and what you are like.
Tell them what is in your heart, why you wanted to join steemit, where you live, what you like to do for fun, something about your life that you would like people to know about you (something good and if you want even things you want to do better)... You can also tell them your goals.
Put at least one picture of yourself and if you have others that tell your story, add them in too...
It is a great chance to get to know you from that, and I think you will be very pleased if you do that.
