Starting a Fire With Steel Wool and a 9 Volt Battery: Does it Work?

I have seen a bunch of videos showing how to light a fire with some steel wool and a 9 volt battery. This is something I assumed worked, but never tried. It did work as advertized, and honestly I'm not suprised.
