Very difficult for a science fiction lover not to know about this TV series, one of the most beautiful ever seen on the small screen, acclaimed by audiences and critics, started in 2004 and ended in 2009, remake of the 1978 series.

Intriguing, mysterious, obscure and sometimes claustrophobic, filmed almost exclusively in enclosed spaces, the story and the actors manage to suppress the desire for spectacular special effects that are not so special, the adventures of the Galactica spaceship's crew manage to make forget everything and concentrate only on the battle against Cylons, robots with human features that during an attack on the 12 colonies exterminated almost all the human species, reducing it to just under 50,000 survivors and destroying their home planet.

Commanding officer William Adama, played by actor Edward James Olmos, tries to bring his crew on a new plant in which they can live, while he will have to deal with the Cylons infiltrators who are among them, who are they? How many? What they want? Only this last question has a practically obvious answer, everything else is questioned episode after episode, it is difficult to calm down the desire to know that spreads as the minutes pass and resist to the impulse to see a new episode immediately.

73 episodes in total, with some Spin-offs: the film (Blood & Chrome), 10 mini-episodes published on YouTube and a prequel (Caprica) divided into 18 episodes, this last not much appreciated by the fans nor by critics.

One of the most beautiful TV series I've ever seen, high-profile personalities such as Laura Roslin, the senior survivor of the former Colonial government, Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, a fearless fighter, Lee "Apollo" Adama, commanding officer son but with a completely different temper and Gaius Baltar, unscrupulous scientist with a thousand facets, are really difficult to find and appreciate elsewhere.

While the series succeeds in satisfying all the questions behind the mysteries that surround the story, cured in the smallest details, its final can be defined in no uncertain terms simply genius.

Molto difficile che un'amante della fantascienza non conosca questa serie TV, una delle più belle mai viste sul piccolo schermo, acclamata da pubblico e critica, iniziata nel 2004 e terminata nel 2009, remake della serie del 1978.

Intrigante, misteriosa, oscura ed a tratti claustrofobica, girata quasi esclusivamente in spazi chiusi, la trama e gli attori riescono a sopprimere il desiderio di effetti speciali spettacolari che lasciano alquanto a desiderare, le avventure dell'equipaggio dell'astronave del Galactica riescono a far dimenticare tutto e concentrarsi soltanto sulla battaglia contro i Cyloni, robot dalle sembianze umane che durante un attacco alle 12 colonie sterminarono quasi tutta la specie umana riducendola a poco meno 50.000 sopravvissuti e distruggendo il loro pianeta natale.

Il comandante William Adamo, interpretato dall'attore Edward James Olmos, cerca di portare il suo equipaggio su un nuovo piante nel quale poter vivere, nel mentre dovrà vedersela con gli infiltrati Cyloni che si trovano in mezzo a loro, chi sono? Quanti sono? Cosa vogliono? Soltanto quest'ultima domanda ha una risposta praticamente scontata, tutto il resto è messo in dubbio puntata dopo puntata, difficile placare la voglia di sapere che si diffonde man mano con il passare dei minuti e resistere all'impulso di vederne immediatamente un nuovo episodio.

73 gli episodi in totale, con alcuni Spin-off: film (Blood & Chrome), 10 mini-episodi pubblicati su YouTube e un prequel (Caprica) suddiviso in 18 episodi, quest'ultimo non molto apprezzato dai fans ne tantomeno dalla critica.

Una delle serie Tv più belle che abbia mai visto, personaggi di altissimo profilo come Laura Roslin, presidentessa dell'ex flotta Colonial One, Kara "Scorpion" Thrace, combattente senza alcun timore, Lee "Apollo" Adamo, figlio del comandante ma con carattere completamente differente e Gaius Baltar, scienziato senza scrupoli dalle mille sfaccettature, sono davvero difficili da poter trovare ed apprezzare altrove.

Mentre la serie riesce a soddisfare man mano tutte le domande dietro ai misteri che avvolgono la storia, curata nei minimi particolari, il suo finale è definibile senza mezzi termini semplicemente geniale.
