The standing rock Sioux reservation pipeline protest

in aboriginal •  8 years ago

Gotta love how big corporations can just walk all over the little people. A native reserve in cannon ball N.D. Is being suppressed by energy transfer partners Dakota pipelines security force.

The company is building a pipeline that runs right past the reserve, underneath the Missouri River and through a bunch of apparent ancestral burial grounds.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for not addressing the aboriginal governance about the project.

If you want to read more about the conflict follow this link that's not written by me and might be more informative!
