Nearly six-in-ten adults (57 percent) disapprove of the court’s overturning Roe, including 43 percent who strongly disapprove, according to the Pew Research Center. About four-in-ten (41 percent) approve of the court's decision (25 percent strongly approve).

Laws restricting abortion went into effect after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Most abortions are now banned in at least 12 states. Two other states now ban abortions around six weeks into a pregnancy.
