This has been a long time coming.

In the past, we have recognized those that have helped using their downvotes against abuse. I've tweaked a few of the flag rewards functions this time to pull all upvotes from our supporters and using that data to establish the Flag Support Ranks below.

From a very decisive upvote, @reggaemuffin has the current lead in terms of upvote support. Indeed, we will be good stewards of the reward shares that have been granted. Such has already been deployed against abuse through powering up.

To recap what we do, we identify abuse and establish flag campaigns against it and reward downvoters in proportion to their rshares from the series of posts until the mission is accomplished aka the abuse is handled.

This project has been live for 90 days. We would not be where we are today had it not been for the community support. We still have a LONG way to go in promoting the mission of moderation through community incentivized flags.

There is much to look forward to along the horizon.

The vision is to give the power of incentivized flags to the non-technical user via an application that is in development. As far as analogies go, I'd say an apt one for a well-functioning decentralized moderation community is like that of a the Greek mythological beast, the Cerberus. Not unlike the tri-headed creature, we are able to think and operate independently but of one accord and that is to fight abuse in a coordinated fashion. In case you didn't notice, many of these con-artists are organized.

We must follow suit if we are to effectively address the issue.

We develop a more sophisticated abuse fighting toolset and leverage each other to include our follow abuse fighters like @steemcleaners, @spaminator, @abusereports and @duplibot among others. We will altogether become a more formidable force. That in and of itself may deter abuse as they will have more to consider when evaluating the cost.

For clarity, here is a quick breakdown of the process for obtaining the support ranks:

• Query all historical posts and comments by the @steemflagrewards account for vote data.
• Calculate the equivalent rshares for @pfunk's 200 SP delegation which has been pivotal in the rewarding of mention comments.
• There was an attempt made to calculate the rshares of the 6 Steem that @timcliff donated to create this account; however, the converter function appears to depend on a few things that are causing an error:

post_rshares2 = (steem_payout / total_reward_fund_steem) * total_reward_shares2
A couple of those variable are enumerated from the following function:

steem.steemd.get_dynamic_global_properties()

Are you able to see what the problem is now?

It's trying to divide by zero so the function fails. I'll have to figure out another way to convert the value after more research. Maybe, it will be worth contributing to utopian. If you have any ideas, would appreciate it. For now, the votes will be evaluated and rank will be adjusted once the rshare calculation is completed.

Please, note that there was a lapse in time as our sister project took the forefront. We serve complementary functions and strides will be made to continue refining both projects. Thankfully, more developers are joining the ranks to help build this community project. We welcome all contributions and insight. No one is a an island.
