Steemit needs to do something about the blackmail..

People are literally blackmailing each other with the threat to flag their posts and lose them 100s of dollars.

I'm still pretty new to Steemit, but I think this is not okay, and I'm pretty sure is borderline illegal. Steemit needs to step up and do something about this. Flagging should be reserved for posts that are literally spam or rulebreaking, not for some petty argument. Steemit should should be banning these users, or at least writing them a warning.

What are your thoughts? Please tell me if I'm misinformed about anything. As I said, I'm new so I still have a lot to learn about how Steemit works.

I don't pretend to know exactly what's going on but it seems like there are some groups of whales that fight each other. The argument is that they flag posts that have received too much money for the worth of the content. But who are they to decide this? And ironically the people that accuse other's of gaining too much upvote their own posts massively. Sadly it seems this system brings out the worst in people. Greed and jealousy wherever you look

Agreed. As a “unregulated” crypto society it’s our job to regulate ourselves
