Pandan thorn

Pandan thorns, in Latin is called Pandanus tectorius. These plants include shrubs. This plant is often found in coastal areas. Living coincides with coconut and ketapang. These plants also grow tall like trees and branching. 


Presence on the beach became a haven for beachgoers. But we must be careful. because the leaves and thorns. Spiny leaves are peppered throughout, there are three lines. One each in left and right, and another one is in the middle of the underside of leaves.


Pandan leaves can be made the handicraft. Acehnese society has to crafts such as mats, hats, bags or other. One of them you can see below.

Are these the pandan leaves used on rice??

We have one type of pandanus that used on rice. We called fragrant pandan (pandan wangi). The extract of pandan wangi (scent of pandan) apllied to the rice. so the pandan flavored rice. consumers particularly liked the flavored rice fragrant pandan.
