Let's Make A 3D Art Basic Using Blender - Part 1
Hello my friends Stemians! I'm sorry for not posting anything yesterday, Hmmm... I tried, but, There's a small problem with my steemit account yesterday, maybe an error, but don't worry, I'll keep posting as best I can everyday. ^^
3D Art Introduction
On this post, I'll try to discuss about other super nice art, which is about 3D art. Hmm, do you recognize it?? Hahah no problem if you don't, for those who still don't understand about 3D, it mean likes three dimensions (reader: Huh? That's it? I knew it already :p). Yep, it's true that the 3D means a three-dimensional extension, and the three dimensions consist of 3 things, the axis X, Y and Z. Is it hard to understand? Hahahah XD Let's just keep reading, soon you will understand! (Hopefully hahah).
In making a 3D art, we certainly need some imagination and some help from various devices to make that imagination realize into a beautiful 3D art form as we want, now one of the software that can help us in this case is the blender application. And you know what? This blender is a freeware! For those who don't have this application and still confused on how to download or install it, you can read my previous post through the link that I provide below! :D

All right then, let me tell you more about the blender workspace and its features! XD
Default Workspace
The picture above is showing how our work page looks like just at the beginning when you open a new project, it is useful as a place or container to create our works. In the picture above, I also have given a number for each features. I will try to explain one by one about the functions of each features that I mark with the number in sequence. The goal is, so you will know and recognize every features in the workspace, and it will be easier for you to understand more for the next tutorial! ^^
1. Lamp / Lights
Lamps or lights are useful to lighting the objects around, so because of that, we can see that objects. Without these lights, then any object that you created will not be visible after being rendered or executed into an image later. XD It's just like a lamp in the house at night, if the lights off, it will be dark right? Hahah.. Oh almost forgot, there's also another features that have the same function as lamp, but have different effects and intensity, well, we will discuss it later!
2. Camera
Just like the normal camera that we use for selfie hahah, it's useful to take pictures that we want, of course, the camera that we use will have a certain direction or angle when it used to shooting something.
3. Cube
By default, we will be presented with an cube object that is ready to be edit like we want, from cube, you can turn it into chair, table or other shapes that you want. In addition to being manipulated, this cube can also be deleted, duplicated, or even add some other objects like that cube.
4. Cursor (Actually, I don't really know how do I call it heheh :p)
The cursor that I mean is a circle with a red-and-white pattern and comes with four black line on top, bottom, right, left of the circle. You can also move this cursor just with a single left click in the workspace area that you want. This cursor have a lot of functions, among them is to move an object directly to where the cursor is located.
5. X, Y, Z-axis
This is the problem that we faced in the beginning XD hahaha... For those who still don't know about X, Y and Z-axis, I will try to explain as much as I can... It just according to my term, X is the width of the object, Y is the height of the object, and Z is the volume of the object. Well, If it still confused for you, you can ask in the comment section, I'll try to help you as bes I can. :D
The function of this 5th point is only just a symbol that will guide you to understand about the the lines that appears on the work page when you are choosing an object, the line consists of three colors with each meaning that is, blue represents the Z axis , green represents the Y-axis and red represents the X-axis. With this X/Y/Z-axis and our imagination, we can create some art with a certain size or width. :)
6. Description
This one is just a description, this description will change according to the object you choose. The Object that I mean is such as a light, a camera or a cube. When you choose a lamp, then the description will be change to lamp, when you choose a cube, then the description will be change to cube. It's also simple to choose or select the object you want, you can just right click on the object that I mentioned earlier! : D
Okay, that's it for today, hopefully you can understand and begin to recognize the basic/default workspace, also the features from that workspace. Finally, I hope it will help you to understand more for the next posting! ^^
