Leafhopper Nymph | Aceh Insect

in aceh •  8 years ago  (edited)

Leafhopper Nymphs are small and don't have wings. Nymphs are usually found to be under the leaf because besides they are more protected from predators, the church also eats at the bottom of the leaves, where the moisture is higher.
They are small and beautiful creatures, probably in your area you can find them in various colors. While in my area I just found them two colors, red and white transparent, I hope the other time I can find them with different colors and more beautiful.

A leafhopper is the common name for any species from the family Cicadellidae.

Hoppers is an agile insect that can move easily just as well forward, backward, or sideways. They have a pair of hind legs that are specially modified to jump, avoid danger quickly or move to another host plant, and most of them are short jumpers.

These insects eat leaves and shoots from different species of plants by piercing plant cells and sucking up their contents, meaning a drying and yellowing (or browning) of leaf margins, and possibly the whole leaf. Some leafhopper species cause curling or stunting of terminal leaves with their feeding.
