Sand Mining in the River in the interior of Aceh

HI EVERYONE!
A few days ago I went to one of the rivers in Mbang village, Geureudong Pase, North Aceh to see first hand the sand mining done by the local people. They use heavy equipment called the Excavator. In Aceh not all rivers are dredged using Excavators, some other areas I've visited do not use heavy equipment but they work with manual tools, use machines or even dive to find sand on the river bed.

Many rivers in Aceh have excellent sand content, sand is used as building materials, such as for schools, homes, offices, etc. Everyday the Dump Truck fills this area to carry sand. Drivers usually pay only 190,000 IDR to bring home the sand. Hopefully the natural wealth contained in this river can be well preserved.
