Jeungki is a traditional tool of aceh society, before the technology developed around the 19th century this tool is used to process rice, wheat and other grains into flour, then in the 21st century Jeungki started rarely used by most of aceh society because the technology already began to enter, in addition of the taste of the flavor cake of flour which is processed by Jeungki certainly more delicious than the processed by the machine
This unsophisticated asset seems almost extinct, but some areas still survive as an alternative to women's sport
Jingki used to be used on the day before Idul Fitri or Idul Fitri or Idul Adha, or every wish to make a typical cake aceh, in addition to pounding rice can also pound sugar & sago
