Geographically, Sigli City is located 112 km east of Banda Aceh, 489 km west of Medan City and 561 km south of Kuala Lumpur City.
The city of Sigli belongs to a strategic area as it passes the cross-eastern national road of Sumatra connecting Banda Aceh City and Medan City.
