When i first heard about the "Doomsday" clock, i was about 10 and some crisis was happening on our old black and white TV! My dad was explaining that we were so many minutes to midnight and at midnight there would be a nuclear war.
I was terrified as i lived in an era when nuclear drills were run and there were alot of shows on TV explaining what to do in the event of war. I think it was called "four minute warning" and it didn't seem long....
My dad died not long after and i was terrified for some time as i had no one who would carry on this conversation with me.
My life took a funny turn and it was decades before i heard of the doomsday clock again. I looked into it and it's a meeting of eminent scientists from around the world who meet bi annually. They use a mirriad of indicators to set the atomic clock. There are various things taken into consideration when the scientists from The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists decide what Midnight and Global catastrophe really mean a particular year. They might include "Politics, Energy, Weapons, Diplomacy, and Climate science." Potential sources of threat included nuclear threats, climate change, bioterrorism, and artificial intelligence.
The clock has been between 17 minutes and 2 minutes to 12, or doomsday. Eighteen months ago the scientists decided to use fractions of a minute and the clock was set at two and a half to twelve. It has since moved to two minutes to twelve. the closest it's been for the second time.
During the Cuban missile crisis was the closest we have been at our closest to nuclear conflagration but that crisis was so quick it never had the chance to be registered on the clock.
I think 2018 will see another record set on the clock, perhaps one and a half minutes to twelve. With the rhetoric being ramped up against Russia, Iran and others i think we are coming to the brink..
I just can't see a nuclear war, it's not good for business. I think all this posturing is just to keep us scared and distracted while our freedoms are eroded inch by inch.

Probably. But there are always crazy old men, nearing the end, who believe in end time prophesies. I can for sure see world war. Maybe not nuclear as you said, as they just want to cull the population and not scorch the earth i suppose. Someone who is about to lose his world may use them as last resort though.
Have you see, read and considered the "Georgia Stones"? Aren't they a statement of intent? By a group who has the money and logistic capability to make them "appear" overnight..

Yes, I've heard of the Georgia stones and I'd say the population cull is already in full swing. We are being poisoned from earth and sky, everything we eat, drink and breathe. Then we have the imminent 5G grid which will be embraced with open arms by sick, dumbed down people who can see no further than their next government handout and the number of likes on their latest facebook post. Post truth, post reality dream world indeed.

I think you're thinking too short term. I believe this is something which has been playing out over generations.
There are a lot of factors I see contributing to depopulation. Ever more mandatory vaccinations in both first and third worlds, decline in testosterone levels worldwide, huge rises in rates of cancer, diabetes and many other illnesses. Then, if you grab your tin foil hat for a second, you have programmable nonotech and the 5G grid which is being rolled out without any research into the possible effects.
Also remember that this is the first generation who have been subjected their entire lives to constant radiation from wireless technology. Who knows what that's doing to us. Maybe it's responsible for our no longer knowing if we're male or female;)
We're also heading into a period of extreme global cooling which may do for a lot of us, especially considering we're being led to believe the danger is warming.

But the world population is growing. Today the liberal alliance are planning to go into Syria. The main players are moving their forces. There has been a world wide announcement to air carriers about missile strikes...

I think you should be aware that Syria is going to be attacked shortly. It may even be happening now. This will end up confrontation between nuclear armies. it's no accident that the US, France and the UK are teaming up for this along with Israel. they are all nuclear powers. Russia is the target.

Yes the world population is still growing, but there is a continuing slowdown in the rate of growth over the last 40 years and we've barely begun with the destruction of the environment we rely on for our existence. We're only a generation into toxic food, air and water, GMO, radiation, so we really don't know yet what the longterm effects of such things will be.
As for war, it seems that's where we're headed. The west needs a war to distract the people from the looming pension crises and economic collapse, so confrontation with Russia, the arch enemy, is being orchestrated. I still don't think it'll be nuclear though. There's nothing to be gained from that.
