According to the Medical World

In the medical world, there are differences of opinion about cupping therapy based on various studies that have been done related to cupping therapy, especially about its benefits. Several studies have been conducted to suggest that cupping therapy has no association with the dirty blood that the non-medical community expects when the curing process proceeds. This is because the function of detoxification (expenditure of toxins) has actually been done by the kidney and liver organ. So even if there is blood coming out when the process of therapeutic therapy, it is only a small part of all the dirty blood that is in the body and issued by the kidneys and liver organ. But even so, many also say that cupping therapy has a very beneficial effect on health.

One study that has been done to determine the benefits of cupping therapy is an experimental cupping therapy performed on 60 obese people on a regular basis. The result is that cupping therapy can lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol levels in the body, and increase good cholesterol levels. While other researchers prove that bruise therapy at certain points on the body can stimulate the skin's strong nerve surface, which will continue towards the posterior cord of the spinal cord through the A-delta and C nerves and the spinothalamicus tract toward the thalamus that will produce endorphins. Which we know that endorphins have good benefits for the brain.

Another opinion about the usefulness of cupping therapy is also written by Thomas W. Anderson (1985) in his book entitled 100 Diseases Treated by Cupping Method (100 Disease Can Be Treated with Cupping). Though Thomas's writing does not prove through direct research, he states that cupping therapy provides a good response to various diseases, such as hypertension, stroke, migraine, asthma, allergies, and various other diseases. It also includes the benefits of cupping therapy that has an effect on fertility and beauty in women.

In the non-medical world itself, cupping therapy known as alternative medicine is often associated with the theory of colds and dirty blood. Which, in the medical world these two things actually have no obvious relevance. Therapeutic techniques of bruise in the non-medical world is done in two ways, namely wet snail therapy and dry bruise therapy. Wet-cupping therapy is a method usually performed by the therapist by bleeding. While dry bruise therapy is the opposite method, which is not blood, where therapy is only done by placing a vacuum bowl on the skin so that no blood out.

Dry bruise therapy methods are usually also found in various traditional massage parlors located in people's homes, especially in rural areas. In terms of its benefits, the non-medical community considers that wet-cupping therapy as a means of removing toxins in the blood, means to remove dirty blood from the body. While dry bruise therapy is only useful to remove the gas and steam that is usually associated with relieve the cold in the body, dizziness in kapala, and muscle pain. Even in the non-medical world there is also one technique that is done by moving a vacuum bowl attached to the skin. The purpose and benefits is to provide additional massage to patients using a vacuum cup that sucks the skin so that the patient will feel more relaxed.
