As most may know to those who have read my previous blogs, our orchestra players are a mixed bunch of ages. We have the young professionals and the elementary students all learning different instruments. In order to practice as a team, most of our practice schedules are in the evenings during school nights. I was bothered by this as it might affect the younger kids' studies. There was even a period when they had to practice every night in order to prepare for the Church Thanksgiving. Though I was hesitant of pursuing that we had no choice but to stick with the schedules if we wanted to practice together.

Then last week during the practice young children approached and told me that they might not be able to join a planned practice schedule, since most of them would be graduating or would be participating in recognition programs. It was then that I found out that most (if not all) of our children were finishing the school year with honors and awards!

Erica, the girl at the left is one of our Violist. She's 15 years old and she graduated Grade 10 as the Salutaturian in her batch. When asked how did she do that, "Study, Resilience and God above all. I never forget God in my studies." Truly amazing right?

Blessy, one of our youngest violinist at 11 move up to Grade 6 as the Top 1 Achiever in her class. Her dad says, she always have good balance between her practice of the violin and her academics.

Jhophyt and Darylle, both Grade 10 students and our violinist and violist respectively graduated as completers and Deportment Awardee reciepients. These two are really bestfriends as they consider each other both in studies and their love to God.

Celerina, though we were not able to take a photo of her during the recognition day, still she nailed the Top 2 Achiever in her class and was awarded as the Best in English.

Chelsea, our Picollist finished Grade 10 as an Achiever and as the Best in Service Awardee in her batch. Though she admitted that practicing of instrument and studies are difficult to balance sometimes, but with good time management, everyting will all lead to perfect instances.

Shanaiah, our flutist excelled in Grade 6 as the 3rd Honorable Distinction of the entire students. Her mom Chacha is always supportive of her whenever there are group projects and meetings commence in the school. That's why she also owes this award to her loving mother and her father who's working in Qatar as an OFW.

Alissa, our flutist and pianist also finished Grade 5 as the 3rd Honor in her batch despite her father working abroad. She said that even though her dad is not with her physically during the recognition day, still she dedicates this medal to her beloved father who even teach her assignments through Video Call.

I couldn't say more for these young children with this amazing milestone in their young career. And I just couldn't not praise the Lord for them (and their supportive parents) who, in their excitement and zeal to play for the Lord, have perfectly lived out the truth that if we seek first the Lord, then everything else shall be added upon us. Praise the LORD!!!
