Today, it has rained ☔️🌧, hailed 🌨and been brilliantly sunny ☀️! This reminds me of springtime in the Rockies in Colorado! But-this is Washington state! And, the Cascades are definitely NOT the Rockies!
Unexpected weather is becoming the norm lately. We really weren’t sure whether or not a hike was in the cards 🃏 today at all. Just when you thought it was finally settling down, an ominously dark cloud ☁️ would slide right in and dump precipitation on us. So, we opted first to run through music 🎶 for Palm 🌴Sunday. Then it had cleared some and we met Jan out in the road to begin. Of course, one of those dark clouds ☁️ blew up from the west but it left us pretty much alone until we got just past the pond and headed up into the trees. Then, it started hailing on us! Fortunately, it was short lived and really more slushy than true hail. The breeze was pretty breezy and that made it a bit cool at the time, but the hills always keep us warm as we hike up them.
Here’s some eye 👁 candy 🍭 I found along the way. This pretty little flower last week looked like a little cluster of grapes 🍇. Now it’s open and beautiful!
