ACIP had an update on the ischemic stroke signal. It has not been seen in the last 10 weeks in the Vaccine Safety Datalink. The CDC will continue monitoring it and is doing a chart review of a random sample. As before this signal has not been seen in the other monitoring systems. As such it may not be a true safety signal.
They are carrying out an epidemiological analysis of simultaneous vaccination of the bivalent booster with flu vaccines to rule out a possible association.
At this time there is no reason to avoid getting the bivalent booster.
