My Actifit Report Card: August 25 2018- With a story of a real life scammer!

in actifit •  6 years ago  (edited)

Today I was fixing the walls on the cabin and cutting logs into manageable sizes to take up the slope and went for a dog walk.. Started playing eosknights! I took some photos and will edit in the morning 😀 The morning didn't come, but I did edit the post! (Its below the actifit banners :P) It was a great example on the missions to try and be nice to the environment and to buy a second hand used phone..

OR I can start now at least as the camera is staring at me! go on, the internet is fast today it shouldn't take that long uploading photo's!

I wasn't being so actift posting-wise (everyday is actift day as a normal day really, but I had no more space on a terrible "smartphone" and so I tried to get a secondhand one.) as I didnt have the app, but I have it again!

It was the first time in my life that someone had tried to scam me in person, from a second hand website here in Norway. I went to look for one and saw a right bargain that boasted dual app power and all i was interested in was having as many apps on a phone as i could, and that the battery was good. I dont even use phones for calling or sms or photos, just apps and online. There was a samsung s7 which after a search i found it to be way too much for what i needed but at least it would hold as many apps as I wanted, around 4gb I think it was. It was for sale of 33% of the shop price and the advert said it was second hand.

I was in contact with the user ptrkstc on this website via email and he seemed friendly saying he had got it for 6000kr and was selling it for 1750kr. I arranged to go to collect it the next morning and he had given me a number to call, although I don't release my number by calling others like that and carried on email contact. I did look on maps to see where his place 99A Holmenveien was but the map spacked out but i headed anyway to 99 Holmenveien which was on the map before the spacking out occurred. The old phone was a really masterpiece and was very much on its last legs. I sent him a message saying that I was opposite the petrol station and after a few seconds of walking to 99, I saw a tall guy walking town the road , phone in hand so I knew it was him and I waved. We met at the beginning of a dead end residential road and he showed me the phone and said as on the website, all that was wrong with it was the up volume button wasn't working. As he showed me how to change the volume on the screen manually , his hands were shaking and I saw he was getting nervous. I notice things like this but then looked at his shoes and his skin on his hand and put it down to him maybe enjoying alcohol too much. I wanted to say "what are you nervous for?" because my instinct told me so- which would have lead to me seeing the phone was very damaged and them most likely beating the granny out of him for trying to rip me off. But these days, I know I should let the ego go, even though I still need to learn the feeling of instinct and the ego, but anyway, must digress from that!

I let it go and went on my way to get the tube back to work, it wasn't until on the bus home 10 hours later that i realized something was wrong. I charged it and it charged in 45mins to full. This means the capacity is damaged in the battery and it wont hold. Then I noticed that the bottom of the phone had superglue holding it together which had started to come apart. Then I see the side is also super-glued and the volume button is glued stuck.
I thought to give it anyway a try when i got home instead of going mad straight away. It was online he was a nice guy, and surely he would be ok to refund my money after a false sale description.
I mailed him, he had an account on the website but you can join with just a name and a email, and even an onsite email address can be produced there and then.

I heard nothing and the next day after doing some research on ptrkstc, there was just one twitter account with the same username..

Cheeky Scammer..

So the account on the website was deleted and all I had was a number that I presumed to be fake and most likely turned off and his username stored on my protonmail. I decided to go back to where we met and as I walked up the dead end road that he had walked down from when we met, and there was number 99, and as I started to walk up the driveway I met an Norwiegen woman who was taking the trash out. I said Hi and asked (I could see already that it wasn't correct) if a guy called Piotr lived there. She sad no, and I told he I was looking for someone who had scammed me. I knew it was a dead end road, and took a walk up it. It was full of nice houses and nice cars on the driveways, and the guy most certainly wasn't living in any of these houses, nor was there any name like ptrkstc on the postboxes. I did notice that the house next to number 99, was 97 and had a huge red A hanging over the gateway. I was thinking Anarchists at first and then saw the long line of names of people living there. I had messaged the guy around 3 minutes before we had met saying I could find his house, and so I knew he was very close to where we had met, and this house was looking like the place he would have come from.
I saw the last name on this post box was Kristopher (spelt in the polish way) Stec. Maybe I just have good intuition, but the user name PTRKSTC was meant to be Patrick or Piotr, was blatantly STEC as a surname in hidden form.

I went to the front door of the big house and rang the doorbell. There was movement upstairs from an open window, sounded like moving furniture around but still no-one came downstairs. I waited around the corner for someone else to come to the door and introduced my self to an African lad. I asked him if Piotr was there and that I had traveled from the UK to visit my friend. He didn't know who I was talking about , then I said "A tall guy, big built, dark hair and glasses. "Oh he said yes Kristoph, I think he lives downstairs in the basement." I thanked him and went down to the driveway seeing the basement glass door as I passed it and decided to wait for the next person to enter the premises, I just sat in the corner of the driveway a against a wall, hidden from view of the house. I was well up for it. Adrenaline rush! Then a guy walked up the driveway he looked Norwiegen, and I asked him in English if my tall polish friend with glasses was still living here, and he had said that he had gone away and would return Friday.

Sweet. I let him go in and then after a few minutes went back up the steps and to the basement door where I stood for a moment. I'm not a bad guy, but I have a conditioned mind from the UK which I quite enjoy sometime , something like "Fcuk you, how dare you try and rob me with no retaliations!" I will never start violence for no good reason but if its necessary then it happens. Blame it on the Island mentality I guess. I saw the door was open and so I went in and shouted "Hei Hei" even though I knew he wasn't there, but there was someone taking a shower. I wanted to find who this guy was and I had already told 2 of his house mates i was a friend and so that was the reality. Dam I tricked myself nearly as well, and took a tour of the kitchen and lounge and stood then at the bedroom of K.Stec. I knocked but nobody was in and the door was locked. This must be the guy who sold me the phone, his description, nationality and the distance to time he went to meet me.
I did research on K.Stec. There are over 12 facebook accounts all with no photo. This is the telltale sign of a scammer.

The Next Day.

I never give my mobil number out by calling other phones. I knew that he didnt have my number and would have presumed that I was Norwiegen and didn't care to much about loosing 1700kr as in Norway its really not a lot of money. To me it was like the equivalent of 10 Neo coins, and that's worth alot (in a few years)..
The next day I decided I would sms message him in polish thanks to google translate.

"Ill come again on Friday then, no problem."

the reply was, in polish, "Who is this writing, i have no name saved"

"A friend" I said with a smiley face."

Then I wrote to to him in English a few hours later "ring me" again, with a smiley face.

He actually rang me! Ha, he started talking in polish and when he went silent I said I wanted my money back. He asked who it was, and when I said about the phone he said "What Phone? I don't know what you mean!"

I told him down the phone that I know where he lives, and who he is, and his real name as I hung up. That was it the match was lit and I was ready to go fuck up some polish guy. He sent me a message saying , "you don't know where i live, look on the map there is no 99a Holmenveien."
This guy had fucked up big time and even worse he thought he had got away with it!

I told him that i was stood at his locked bedroom door and then I described his kitchen and lounge, and finally to ask his house mates if someone had been there looking for him. I had already some English friends who wanted to go smash up the place because it seems its just normal thing to do if someone scams you and you find them, and the poor guy there were 14 guys working here who I met a while ago, and they all wanted to help me get him.

He must have asked his housemates and realized that he was fucked, and was going to get found, because a few hours later after I described his home to him, he sent a message saying..

"Ok. lets meet, I don't like to scam people."

I had previously told him that he was fucked and that he wouldn't hear any more from me by sms or calls, or email and so i let him sweat a good 18 hours until I replied.

He even gave some bullshit story telling me that he had got the phone from finn.no from a scottish guy called Haggis, and just wanted to sell it on after seeing it was glued together, and that we can meet and refund the phone and he would then take the phone back to Haggis. What a load of shit. He wanted the phone to sell it on to someone else I guess. The day before we were due to meet I had to suffice and go buy a phone from a shop, and was wondering if he would show up. Of course he would because he had been busted!

We met somewhere public, and just in case he had thought to pull a fast one on me I had come with something that would hurt to get hit with, sat in my pocket. I remember he was a big guy, taller than me and I'm 188cm, so I took a precaution. The part of me still wanted to smash him anyway when we met. He was so cheeky first apologizing whilst extending his hand out to be greeted- A common body language sign of someone who thinks that are in control of the situation. I decided to get the devil part of me out to play and told him to go fuck himself and to give me the money back and switched my frequency to "madman"..
He got his wallet out which wasn't by any means empty, and then asked me " DO YOU HAVE 50KR CHANGE, I have 1800kr and the phone was 1750kr!! He is definatly a sacmmer to even ask for the change which of course he didnt get.

I am definitely becoming more patient with people it seems, the thought really did say "Just smash this guy, take his wallet for compensation and thrown the phone on the train tracks and ride off on his own bicycle - he deserves it". But I let it go. Cheeky motherfucker he did deserve it - ah well!

The person who I suspect this guy was, is called Krzysztof Stec. He lives at 97A Holmenveien, Smestad, Oslo, Norway. He is working and so most likely is registered in Norway as he is Polish. I couldn't find a photo of this Krzysztof, and would love to know if I really did find where he lived.

  • Known alias's PTRKSTC and most likely also HAGGIS!

Saved on blockchain bitch!

Anyway I would definitely go so far to say that he is the scammer due to the fact of being walking distance away from where we met and that there are over 12 facebook profiles in his name with no profile pics and empty activity.

Never let people take the piss, or it will happen often! Go with your instincts, but be aware of them also!

What I did Today at the Cabin!

Before the weather gets colder than it already has, I really needed to change some plastic membrane from when we moved here, to the proper material which is breathable. I actually had nothing when we came here and used the packaging from the insulation as a membrane on the walls, it created condensation and swelled the wood. It was just wrong and had to be corrected as it was a temporary fix.

You see the panels are swollen by the parts not painted black.

The Start..

Incorrect!

P1040796.JPG

Removing the placed panels from right to left to revealed the cowboy fix that needed replacing, over time the moisture would certainly do more damages, it must have been freezing into ice as well.

Correct!

P1040798.JPG

Always have to lay them in order to save some hassle putting them back on later..

P1040797.JPG

Here's part of the kitchen repair I did last year, you can see how damaged and rotten the kitchen floor was, the owners don't know we are here and I guess they presume its now fallen down.

P1040800.JPG

I put the wood back on but forgot to take the photo! Then I realized that I couldn't finish it around the corner because of the 210 liter of water sat there..

P1040801.JPG

Next up was to do the same thing below a window..

After

I went to cut trees as well but left the camera up at the cabin! Rude yes I know, but anyway this was just meant to be a short post!

Here's the last progress on The Cabin!

Wow, great post and what a story about the scammer! Great job tracking him down!

Its was so funny how he thought nobody could work out where he lived! It was pretty obvious hahahahahah :) If anyone knows how to find photos of people id be happy to confirm if his real name is Krystof Stec lol. Must have been or why would he have met me to give the money back lol

That's one he'll of a set of nuts on the scammer you had to deal with.
Glad everything turned out to the positive.

Yeh, it was quite an ordeal! Well I guess the tweet on twitter is his main moral in life!

Well, you could have bought a brand new phone with an unused battery, something like the Huawei p smart for example (KR 1790) for the same amount of money. Buying mobile phones on finn.no can be tricky as lots of them are stolen and/or damaged.

I got one from power,an htc 😊 its good so far! I dont like to buy things like that new for various reasons, but it was neccercary for crypto hahaha

You are off the fucking chain level of awesomeness Bro. Just saying <3333 :)

Hahaha, enjoyed that suspense short story.

Hi man! I just woke up, trying to drink tea instead of cofffee but you know its quite nice hahahahahha!
