    HEX is a smart contract that is built on top of the Ethereum blockchain and operates as the first blockchain based, interest bearing, certificate of deposit savings account. It is presently in it's launch phase when most of the HEX tokens are being minted, and will continue to be there until November 18. After that, the only HEX tokens minted by the contract will be given to those who have previously staked in the contract at a 3.69% APR.
