Plenty of cleaning to do...
As I was making my way through the forest today (while heading out for a short walk this afternoon) I figured it would be a good opportunity to look around and see how many downed trees and/or branches we have so far this Winter.
I'm not overly surprised at just how messy it is back there. Ah well, I've got plenty of work ahead of me to look foward to come spring (ya know, on top of all the other stuff I already planned on doing in the forest).
Here's a little lookie:
There's more but we'll stop here for now...and have a look at my selfie with a deer !! hehe
(it's an older photo from when I first moved to Maine. It was taken along the Mountain Division Trail that I do a great deal of actifitting upon)

Great pictures of the forest. You sure have plenty of clearing ahead. The selfie with the deer is wonderful. Hopefully come spring you will be able to take more selfies like that. Wishing you another active and fun day ahead 👍 😁

I imagine all that clearing work in the spring will make for some solid workouts! Nothing like a bit of manual labor to get the body moving. We had a big tree in the neighbor's yard fall across the street right next to us last week. It took out the power line, but luckily didn't hit any houses. I give the power company kudos though because they had it cleared out and the power back on in just over an hour! I do love the deer selfie, too. ;)

Wow..all cleared and power back in just over an hour...that's awesome! They don't mess around in your neck of the woods😎 So happy no houses or people got harmed when it came down🙌 Do you know if it was a pine or what kind of tree it was? Just curious. Its been mostly pines here that have snapped but also a few maple and cherry. 💖 So happy about the deer selfie hehe 😍

Last winter when we had a pretty heavy snow and lots of ice we were without power for over 24 hours, so I was really happy this time around! I think there were 7 or 8 trucks that cam out!!
It was pretty tall pine tree. Those are the ones that seem to be going down around here, too. Every time we get some heavy rain or wind you see quite a few down all around the neighborhood.

howdy there reikigirl! I see in your more recent posts that you survived the holidays. That's too bad but there's always next year. well, I waited for ten minutes and none of the photos loaded except the top one which looks half way decent.
