A sunny day. The sun provided a lot of light and warmth and I had a lot of fun! First I was out with the dog, then at the hairdresser and then for a coffee. Then I took part in a lecture about parallel universes in the Science Café at DESY Hamburg (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron). The basics of quantum physics and general relativity theory were discussed and how string theory can bring both into harmony when the so-called Big Bang approaches. And, of course, that string theory demands the existence of parallel universes that can unfold in three or more dimensions. Exciting topic, which was presented with great charm by the theoretical physicist from the University of Hamburg. Including the all too typical laptop to beamer disturbances :)

Ein sonniger Tag. Die Sonne lieferte ordentlich Licht und Wärme und ich hatte richtig viel Spaß! Zuerst war ich mit dem Hund unterwegs, dann beim Friseur und beim Kaffeetrinken. Anschließend nahm ich im Science Café im DESY Hamburg (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron) an einem Vortrag über Paralleluniversen teil. Es wurden die Basics der Quantenphysik und der allgemeinen Relativitätstheorie angerissen und wie die Stringtheorie beide in Einklang bringen kann, wenn sich dem sgn. Urknall nähert. Und natürlich, dass die Stringtheorie die Existenz von Paralleluniversen fordert, die sich in drei oder mehreren Dimensionen entfalten können. Spannendes Thema, das seitens des theoretischen Physikers von der Uni Hamburg mit viel Charme dargestellt wurde. Inklusive der allzu typischer Laptop zu Beamer Störungen :)
