I was sad to hear of the Death of Adam West.
Without West I think there not have been a Tim Burton series or a Nolan Trilogy. Growing up in the 80s there I was always repeats of the 60
s show on Saturday kids slots even during the summer holidays. Yes the show was dated and was it was campy a hell but that’s what gave it its charm the fights scenes where iconic with the words appearing on screen every time a punch or kick was thrown.
from the theme tune to the costume everyone knows it there was even a famous scene in a UK Sitcom Called only fools and horses where the two main characters where dressed up as the dynamic duo. There where many parodies and tributes to them such as blue Falcon. Even after the show ended its influence was still around. Adam West was also the first Batman and a full feature film(sorry Michel Keaton). Speaking of which a nice Easter egg can be seen in the Tim Burton Flim as a nod to the series.
One of West`s best qualities was his ability the to make fun of him self from parodying his Batman persona in shows like Fairly odd Parents, The Simpson and Family guy.
So in Short Ben Afleck has now got a legacy. To live up to Thanks to West
he will be missed
Sleep well old Chum
Jamie
He was only recently on through the keyhole with Keith Lemon.
I remember watching that batman as a kid and it was always going to be enticing for a kid when it had all the dramatic sound effects, music, costumes and exclamation text!
