My dear fellow Steemians,
Today is a very special day. What we are about to witness is the death of a contest.
3 weeks ago I had an inspiration of creating a contest where the contestants would post their favorite song of the week. The top three songs that would be added to my playlist would win the three SBD PRIZES.
First week was phenomenal. Around 30 entries, lots of comments, new friends and followers, steemit felt like home for a while. Unfortunately, not long after, coin market cap Lost almost half of its wealth, driving to minimum post payouts.
New payouts where so much smaller that it was impossible to keep the same prizes, since the pool shrunk almost in half 😫😫
I thought that nobody's would care about lowering the pool prize a little, since we would still get to hear new music and people would still like to participate in the contest.

On the 3rd week of the competition we had only two contestants. It reminds me of the public construction competitions here in greece, where the contestants are only people within the government!
Right here i want to thank @kaanhan and @kotelinio for their entries. I will send you 1SBD each for your effort guys, thanks for the support.
Maybe I wasn't very good host or maybe I didn't find a contest that many people could relate.
In any case, I will come back stronger And more organized!

OMG, how I couldn't find this contest earlier? You know something, this is the kind of contest that shouldn't matter the prize... The fact of discovering new songs thanks to the people who participate means a lot more than money... (in my opinion of course). I wish I could have find this earlier, I mean it... There is a contest where I always try to participate in, that's about reading, and I do it becasue I enjoy it! not because the prize.. And this is the kind of contest that should be enjoyable... So, I'm really sad that you decided to end it :c People should have appreciated it more...
