Psychologist says "Selfie" is a New Generation Addiction Disorder. If you obsessively take selfies, you may have a genuine mental ‘illness called "Selfitis".

Over a period of time, technology advancement really brought big impact to us. Many people is addicted to computer, internet, smartphones , mobile games. Smartphone has intruded in our daily life so much that without this we cannot survive. Today's generation smartphones are equipped with high resolution camera, we call it “selfie” camera. Though people were fond of taking photographs of their own , selfie camera it has lead to an extreme effect. It is associated with posting the selfie photographs (selfie) on social networking sites, and they are waiting for comments from friends and others. This has lead to chain of reactions leading to a extreme addiction disorder which we may easily call as Selfie addiction disorder.
The Image below shows a couples who is having their dinner, but as you can see the girl is busy taking selfie and the guy is already irritated. She's being rude to her date.

The researchers used those six underlying factors to establish what they call the “Selfitis Behavior Scale,” or SBS. Those who suffer from selfitis may do so on three levels:
Borderline
~Taking selfies at least three times a day, but not necessarily posting them on social media
Acute
~ Taking selfies at least three times a day and posting every one of them on social media
Chronic
~ These are the selfie-takers who have an uncontrollable urge to point their phone at their face and post the selfies on social media more than six times per day
Study says no scientific management of selfie is available. Probably some kind of behavioral therapy or counselling may help. Or else you can start this by practicing Self-discipline. Stoping somebody using a smartphone may be unnecessary overdone step. It may be required only in extreme cases. It is impossible to have a decent smartphone without selfie camera or camera.
