Nice piece @psychsherpa - It's such a shame that mental illness and addiction are so stigmatised, even in the 21st Century, which compounds the problems even further, driving one deeper into isolation, shame, and guilt. There's probably not one family on Earth that hasn't encountered these issues, yet we'd still rather keep our head in the sand and become engaged in blame games. Keep it up @psychsherpa. You've got a new follower who intimately knows this stuff from many angles.

Thanks, @psychsherpa - ask me anything too. I used to work in this field yet quit as I realized many of the current modalities were severely lacking at best, and dangerously destructive at worst. We still have a long long way to go regarding these issues, the first being the discarding of arbitrary labels which only serve to 'disempower' those afflicted.
