Addiction is a word that can define habits beyond moderation. For some, it's alcohol, drugs, work, even argumentation. I never thought I was the type that would become an addict, but that type of thinking is what creates the grave we dig. I was always 'chubby' but after losing weight, I decided to use hormones to enhance myself. It was a coping mechanism for my insecurities, anxiety, and stress. Life was great, at least I thought it would be. I had an amazing physique, charismatic, and an intellectual. It got me modeling offers, beautiful women and better treatment. It opened my eyes to how shallow the world really is, and how nothing matters in the grand scheme of things. I felt empty. It never made me happy. A week after my girlfriend passed away, it dawned on me that I need to a knowledge this is an addiction and an addiction I needed to drop cold turkey. True, cold turkey is risky, but I know my body and mind. If I had t quit then and there, I would've kept abusing the drug. After losing someone you loved dearly, someone that cared for who you are and what you are, it really alters your perspective. It wasn't easy, but it was better long term to quit; For my mental and physical health. Hormones regulate your emotions and train of thought. My mind is full of clarity now. Muscles seem insignificant now. It's the mind I wish to nourish with new ideas and new perceptions form all walks of life. Some things we need to learn by jumping into that pit we dig. You can't learn how to climb unless you have no choice but to.
